GTC can offer users a backup replacement computer for their installed HMI or <I> Dos system which can prove essential in the event the currently installed unit fails. When an HMI or <I> Dos computer fails, the user is left with only the <BOI> on the MKV panel which has limited commands and limited access to troubleshooting tools. Keeping a backup computer onsite gives a user the advantage to change out a failed unit immediately so the operator never has to worry about being without an HMI or <I> Dos system running on the Speedtronic MKV control. When the failed unit is changed out, the user can simply send the broken unit to GTC for repair and return so a spare computer is always kept on hand.
